The Social Weekend at Llandudno was deemed to be a success by the 50 participants - despite the lack of "Real Beer" at the Marlborough!
Apart from that the Hotel was brilliant. We enjoyed the time warp to Christmas.
On the way up on Friday, the traditional SSBC
Lunch stop was made at "The Bridge End" Llangollen where we were joined by 2 members of Banbury Borough B.C. who were to escort us
on our steam train trip to Carrog.
At Carrog we rejoined the coach, much to the disappointment of our Driver Geoff who wanted to go
by train.
Everyone did their "own thing" on Saturday which varied from climbing local hills, tram rides up the
Great Orme. hairy bus rides to Bodnant Gardens or just shopping and the local hostelries.
On Sunday a Coach Trip was arranged
to take us down the Conway Valley then across the Snowdon Range to Blaneau Ffestiniog and Bedggelert. We then went on to Llanberis
via Nant Peris for the afternoon.
Unfortunately Isobel was taken ill at Betws Y Coed on the trip home, but we understand she
is on the road to recovery and we wish her well.
